Music has played an important part in the life and culture of the people of Kolkata. This was again proved by two different occasions that took place in the city. One is a musical program organized by Centre Stage to pay tribute to eminent music directors like R. D. Buman, Salil Chowdhury and Sudhin Dasgupta. The other is a photo exhibition by journalist Sourav Dutta on late singer Manna Dey.
